sendong; a challenge to cagayan de oro city
This is the first time ever that Cagayan de Oro City has experienced a very traumatic event that made a very big casualty count resulting to dead and missing bodies, shortage of water, ands more importantly coffins for the dead that’ve been killed in the recently occured flash flood. Affected areas are most likely the riverside settlements of which the river overflowed and likely swallowed one-storey houses even the two-storey houses that are not high enough are being flooded other houses are being displaced because of strong the water current , some bridges are almost reached by the flood and some were really flooded. People lost all what they priced most, from material things to loved ones; rich or poor this calamity didn’t chose its victims but chose it fairly. It might be very traumatic but this tragedy will help us to be ready in the next facing calamities.
